BMW announces recall of three cars with seat belt problems – News


Problems with the rear seat belts prompted the move

A BMW announced that it is recalling three cars. They are: X1sDrive18i, X1sDrive20iXLinee and X1sDrive20iM Sport. However, only those manufactured between November 2022 and April 2023.

“It was found that the loop of the rear seat belts can be caught in the lower part of the seat, endangering the performance of the seat belt. In this case, the possibility of serious accidents or accidents causing damage to the body and / or equipment. to those inside the car”, said the car maker in a letter.

Therefore, the company asks owners to schedule an inspection at an authorized dealer. The process is free and should last 15 minutes, according to BMW.
