Bentley Motors has confirmed a new ‘fair’ and ‘competitive’ pay deal for Crewe | Local News | News | Crewe Nub News


Bentley Motors has responded to recent allegations from a worker, confirming it has returned with a new “fair” and “competitive” pay plan for its Crewe workers.

On February 21, Nub News reported an employee of Bentley Motors in Crewe went so far as to attack the Pyms Lane luxury car maker, calling them “disgraceful.”

This comes after the company offered a new pay deal to staff, with a reported 97 per cent rejection in a member vote.

Since then, Bentley has confirmed that it is currently holding a vote on the payment of other members on the revised payment plan, with a deadline of Thursday 29 February.

The Crewe firm believes it’s the “best” offer yet, including new benefits such as online doctor and dental care.

A spokesperson for Bentley Motors told Nub News: “We are unaware of many of the comments you have reported.

“The initial payment agreement was rejected through the union ballet.

“However, in close collaboration with our union partners, we have now put forward an improved pay offer which we believe is fair, competitive and the best that can be achieved.

Bentley Motors’ new premium plan includes new benefits such as access to online doctor and dental care (Bentley Motors).

“This also includes enhancements, not cuts as suggested, to our industry-leading sick pay policies and policies.

“It also includes new benefits such as online doctor access and dental care, which has contributed to Bentley being recognized as a top employer for 13 consecutive years.

“Furthermore, we are not moving permanent staff to accommodate external contractors as suggested.

“Our ambition is always to protect and maintain our core workforce.

“His colleagues are currently being briefed on the details of the pay offer.

Bentley Motors has confirmed that it is currently holding a member pay vote for a revised pay plan, with the deadline being Thursday 29 February (Nub News).

“Of course, our colleagues will have questions and we encourage them to speak to their manager, union representative or local HR partner.

“So we are looking forward to positive results at the end of the month.”
