To mark the occasion, Bentley Motors is organizing a four-month program of exclusive models, test cars and events starting at the Shanghai Motor Show with the debut of the Continental GT S.
This one car alone has many special features Mullinersuch as commemorative badges, inlays and designs which mark the 20th anniversary of the model which defined its modern era Bentley Motors.
Out of the special GT S for Shanghai it is a dark gray metallic color and Magnetic codefinished with black chrome and 22-inch black sport wheels 10-spoke, but also with a touch of color contrast provided by the red brake calipers. The black-and-red theme is carried through to the interior, with two-tone finishes in Beluga and Hotspur leather with Piano Black.
Interior bespoke articles a unique Mulliner paint colortwo-way waist height reduction and detailing on the center console and door sills.
The veneer in the upper area is tinted Granite stonegive a unique finish to the touch, when the bottom is Grand Black and features a laser-engraved overlay to celebrate 20 years of the Continental GT. The red line separates the two pieces, which move horizontally from door to door, crossing the upper fins of the spherical air ducts.
The entrance doors have two private inscriptions, one of Continental GT first generation and the second of the 3rd generation, representing 20 years of modern GT. The same design is found on the center console, while the LED welcome light on the door also has a unique design commemorating the legendary tourer’s anniversary.
Continental GT launched 2003 as the first all-new Bentley of the modern era with all-wheel drive and the innovative W12 engine, and helped propel Bentley to its current status as the world’s most sought-after luxury car brand.
Its 20 years Continental GT will be celebrated at two different locations, one at Bentley’s headquarters in Crewe and the other in Geneva, Switzerland. First and second generation Continental GT models from the collection Bentley Heritage Collection will be available to drive alongside the latest Continental GT family, bringing to life 20 years of design and engineering development.
Bentley ‘relay’, designed and built by the company itself, will begin his world tour in May, traveling a variety of Continental GT models across Europe, the Middle East, China, Asia Pacific and the US before returning to Crewe. At the end of the journey back to the brand’s headquarters, the “stick” of the event, which will contain memories from 20 points of the tour, will create a time capsule as a permanent reminder of the unique journey.
The Continental GT’s birthday also marks its 20th anniversary Bentley’s 6.0 liter W12 twin-turbo engine, who has made the company literally and figuratively successful for two decades. And the end of engine production is now scheduled for April 2024, W12 collection of 12 months only go ahead of this model train paving the way for Bentley’s electric future.
