New project underway? That’s a strange idea to me, and usually it’s for someone like Tommy Lee Byrd, but this time he’s got one that runs and he’s been seen doing a lot of fatigue. The exact history of this thing is unknown, but we know Tommy will figure it out when he gets this thing ready and ready to iron. Until then, check out this awesome ride.

This Opel GT wagon has been out of focus for years, but it has a lot of good parts and will make for an easy restoration project. We plan to address some of the braking and handling issues and then go see what this little tow truck can do. I hope one day to trace the history and give this car the attention it deserves.

You may have seen bits and pieces of this car in previous videos, as briefly featured in my video about Denny George’s car collection, as well as the video from the Pikeville, TN cruise in, where Denny burned the rear tires straight out. in the center of the city.

The car has a powerful 327 in it with two hump heads, so it’s an old school combo, but you can tell it has high compression and a big cam. Other details are unknown but we’ll see how well this plays out in the coming weeks and months. For now, it’s another talking point inside the Hot Rod Hoarder garage.
