Aston Martin F1 Team Principal Mike Krack admitted that they have high hopes of winning the Monaco GP this weekend.

The star driver of the team, Fernando Alonso, said that this year’s doctors from Monaco, Hungary and Singapore can give them the opportunity to win with their cross systems.
Aston Martin arrived at the Monaco GP this weekend with results so far as the second best team behind Red Bull. Alonso and Aston Martin are on the podium in four of the first five races of the season, placing them in second best position.
Although the AMR23 can fight with Ferrari and Mercedes, it has not been able to fight with Red Bull so far.
But the Monaco design, which requires high power, matches the power of Aston Martin.
Speaking on Thursday in Monaco, Krack said: “We have high hopes for Monaco and both of our drivers. We have a good car. They were both very happy in the simulator.”
“But we shouldn’t forget the competition. It’s true that there aren’t many ranks here.”
“But it’s true that we haven’t seen Red Bull, Ferrari or Mercedes in such a low state, because we haven’t reached this kind of circuits yet.”
“So it would be very easy to say, ‘We’ll easily be ahead.’ I don’t think it will be that easy. We will have to be 100% all the time.” say.

The Aston Martin AMR23 is considered one of the favourites, ahead of this race, as it is slow on the straights and fast on the corners. Against this, Krack is confident that his opponents will also be very strong.
“There are a lot of things that can go wrong for us or anybody else,” Krack said.
“So first of all we have to respect how tough the competition is in F1 and how high our opponents are.”
“We couldn’t talk about winning Monaco 12 months ago. So we have to never forget where we came from and put our heads down and work hard and see where we finish in the end.”
“It’s easy to predict, but your predictions can quickly fail.”
“We have to look at the stars but put our feet down and work hard. But we always need to be at least 100% to get a good result this weekend.”
“If our result is better than the podium, we will gladly accept it. But that will be difficult to achieve.” say.
