Another Porsche is about the first 911 Turbo. It was for the daughter of Ferdinand Porsche

The first Porsche 911 Turbo was shown for the first time in 1974.

Porsche does not forget history, which is proven by another unique project from the personal initiative of Sonderwunsch. This is another good place, thanks to which we can remember various stories of past years.

In the case of this Porsche 911 Turbo, it pays homage to its predecessor, the very first Porsche 911 Turbo from 1974. This served as a gift from Ferry Porsche to his sister and daughter of car founder Ferdinand Porsche, Louise Piëch, in. his 70th birthday.

The Porsche 911 Turbo Nr.1 was powered by a 2.7 liter flat six cylinder with a turbocharger and an output of 176 kW (240 hp) at 5,500 rpm. The engine was mated to a four-speed manual transmission. The model had a smaller engine and a smaller body than the standard 911. The very first turbo 911 could reach a speed of 250 km / h. It is worthy of the seventies.

The Porsche 911 Turbo received a silver paint job and the Porsche logo on the sides is wrapped in a black and red stripe. The interior is also created with the same color combination, which was chosen and adopted by Louise Piëch herself.

Porsche Style, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur and experts from Heritage & Museum participated in the 911 Turbo 2023 project with the Porsche Middle East and Africa division. The result is a combination of classics and the inclusion of modern design elements.

The car perfectly imitates the design of its predecessor, including the cool five-spoke wheels in black. The one-off 911 Turbo is also a celebration of 60 years of the 911 model and 75 years of the brand.

“The original idea for this project started a year ago,” Said Patrick Gallas, manager of Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur. “We wanted to create a modern version of the car that would be unique. Fortunately for us, there are many Porsche models that people refer to as icons. We decided to restore one of the greatest icons of all – the original 911 Turbo that belonged to Louise Piëch.”

Both cars were shown side by side at the Porsche Festival Images event in Dubai. Visitors could see the recently revealed third-generation Porsche Panamera, the 718 Spyder RS model or the Vision 357 Speedster concept with this successful couple.
