The Siegen fire department was busy with an unusual operation Thursday afternoon at the Fischbacherberg. The Audi threatened to slide and he had to be rescued with heavy equipment. This is how the operation went

Three parts of the Siegen fire department in action
The Siegen fire brigade and the Eiserfeld and Hammerhütte units as support quickly reached Friedrich-Ebert-Straße. An ambulance with an emergency doctor also rolled to the scene.
At the scene, emergency services found the car hanging from an embankment. Behind the wheel was an 83-year-old driver who, according to the fire department, had previously driven the car out of the garage.

The reason is still not explained
For reasons still unclear, he had gone back down the steep road. Even the edge of the road could not stop the Audi, so the car went backwards and ended up stuck after a few meters through the bushes and on the ground.

First, the fire department protected the car from further sliding, then the senior citizen was rescued from the car. He was examined on site by emergency services but did not have to go to hospital.
The road is completely closed
The wrecked car had to be recovered by a towing company using a crane. Friedrich-Ebert-Straße was completely closed for the duration of the operation.
