The chief dealer representative of Honda in the West Java region completed a variety of theoretical and practical tests with the second best score which put him on the podium with first place winner Kunaporn Korsinprasert from Thailand and Wanchai Srinothai from Thailand in third place.

“The first time I joined this competition, I immediately played in the normal motorcycle class. It was very worrying to see participants from other countries. But with extensive training and support from all the teams, I was finally able to get on the podium. This victory is of Indonesia, especially Honda’s loyal customers,” Masngudin said after the announcement of the winner in Bangkok on 24 May 2023 as quoted in a written statement.

With this victory, Masngudin has the opportunity to represent Asia and Oceania in the international competition, Honda Global Technician Contest 2023, in Japan in October 2023.

In the motorcycle technical skills competition in Asia Oceania, each competitor has beaten the best technicians in their country. The experience and knowledge gained in this competition is expected to test their skills against Honda’s technical skills standards at the international level.

General Manager of AHM’s Technical Service Division, VH Kunsala Krishna said the main objective of the competition is to improve after-sales service for Honda motorcycle users in each participating country. This achievement is expected to motivate approximately 15,000 Honda technicians to improve their skills to satisfy customers.

“This is truly an honor. Honda technicians assisted by AHM were able to carve out success on the international stage. Through this competition, the knowledge and experience of the participants will be a factor in increasing customer satisfaction when they return to Indonesia,” said Krishna.

In the competition, technicians must be able to complete a theoretical test that includes knowledge of the engine, frame, electronics, and modern Honda motorcycle technology. While in the hands-on test, technicians are challenged to complete motorcycle maintenance test kits as well as technical analysis and bike troubleshooting.
