Aston Martin recently revealed Honda as its new engine supplier in Formula 1 from 2026. Fernando Alonso, who already had experience with Honda engines during his time at McLaren, expressed enthusiasm about this news.
“It’s great news for the team. It shows Aston Martin’s commitment to really winning races and championships in the future independently and making their own boxes. It’s the only way to be 100% sure that you control everything in your package, in the car yours. It’s a great sign to everyone at Aston Martin that the desire and ability to win is there.”

“I think it is the right way. Especially in 2026, when the new regulations come, it’s always better if you can build your engine and chassis and integrate everything early, it’s a team effort.
