2024 Nissan Juke Facelift Released With Updated Interior, Yellow Color Option, New Bridge

Based on the platform that underpins the Renault Captur, the Nissan Juke enters 2024 with a mid-cycle refresh to its name. From a visual point of view, Nissan reintroduced the yellow color option in the color palette. For the N-Sport grade, the said color is joined by a black painted roof, mirror caps, wheel arches, grille, wheels and pillars.

This combination is – without a shadow of a doubt – good. Bigger updates can be found inside, starting with a redesigned instrument panel and center console. Nissan worked more of its magic on the fit and finish, as well as the interior materials.

The infotainment screen is oriented towards the driver, bringing the left-hand touch controls closer to the driver. Just below the infotainment system, you will find four physical buttons, volume rocker, central air vents, hazard lights button and HVAC panel. The Japanese automaker still uses physical controls for the climate system, which is surprising considering that many automakers are crazy about HVAC touch controls these days.

Still, customers are presented with a wireless charging pad for phones no bigger than the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Consider 160.8 by 78.1 by 7.4 millimeters. The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is bigger in every respect: 162.3 mm long, 79 mm wide, and 8.6 mm thick.

USB-A and USB-C ports also need to be mentioned for the front and rear occupants. The N-Connecta and higher trim levels get a 12.3-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1,920 by 720 pixels. Obviously, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are wireless. The N-Connecta grade ups the ante with yellow accents, and the N-Sport goes even further with yellow Alcantara inserts on the seats.

The N-Connecta seats are upholstered in Kira Melange, which combines PVC and fabric accents. Tekna seats improve on the N-Connecta roller design inserts with back and base inserts. Tekna chairs are PVC only. The list of interior updates continues with a more supportive center console and a storage hub with a clip that can hold three credit cards, power braking, as well as a larger glove box for the UK market (6.6 liters or 29 percent larger previously).

Examples of hybrid moved element EV Mode Buttons and e-Pedal. The 2024 model year facelift will bring a host of safety features, with Intelligent Driver Alert standard throughout. Lane Keep Assist, which is arguably more useful than the system programmed to alert you if you’re drowsy, is standard on the well-equipped Tekna and more.

The Tekan Bridge also benefits from the Around View Monitor camera system. Regardless of trim level, Nissan upgraded the rear camera from a 0.3 megapixel sensor to 1.3 megapixels. When it comes to powertrains, nothing has changed from the pre-facelift Juke. The three-cylinder turbo is standard, with the engine packing 114 ps (112 hp) and 180 Nm (133 pound feet). It can be equipped with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed clutch box.

Available from the Acenta Premium grade up, the hybrid powertrain combines a free-breathing I4 with a starter generator, an electric motor, and a 1.2-kWh battery. The starter generator is rated at 15 kW (20 ps or 20 hp), while the traction motor delivers up to 36 kw (49 ps or 48 hp) and 205 Nm (151 lb-ft). For the 1.6 liter mill, the numbers are 69 kW (94 ps or 93 hp) and 148 Nm (109 lb-ft) of torque. Both powertrain options are front-wheel drive. Sadly, all-wheel drive is not available.
