2023 Caterham Super Seven 2000: Review, Trim, Specs, Price, New Interior Features, Exterior Design, and Details

Although it puts down impressive acceleration figures, given its modest output, the Super Seven 2000 is measured more by how it makes the driver feel than raw figures. The feeling of lightness is unmatched by any other regular production car, and there’s a mechanical purity to the steering wheel, five-speed manual gearbox, and even the brake pedal that makes you feel close to the machine. Steering and gear changes without assistance require some muscle, but the feedback from each element is so unimpaired that it’s worth the effort. The ride’s balance is exceptional, while moderate levels of grip mean you can easily spin the rear tires, but it’s all manageable and predictable.

It’s worth mentioning that the compact, compact chassis provides a more intimate driving experience. Others will prefer the greater comfort of a larger chassis, of course.

For those who only speak in numbers, the Ford Duratec four-cylinder makes 180 hp and 143 lb-ft of torque. That’s directed to the rear axle, and the 2023 Super Seven 2000 returns a quick 0-60 mph time of 4.8 seconds on its way to a top speed of 130 mph. The car can be with or without, a small sliding differential.
