2022 Mazda CX-60; the family’s first plug-in hybrid uses “1.5 liters”

Bringing many important innovations to its brand, the 2022 Mazda CX-60 will try to grab a share in the European market.

With the MX-30, Mazda has made its first step in the electric revolution on the streets, and at this point, it can meet the technical expectations in a more urban perspective. The Japanese manufacturer, which wants to bring about a change in the industry by not giving up on the development of the Wankel engine, finally takes a big step in hybrid technology, which is an important player of the transition process. it started. For the 2022 Mazda CX-60, the brand, which sends an important slogan to Europe and other markets outside of Japan, will also introduce new platforms and units that it has developed for consumers through this model. In this context, the CX-60, which is Mazda’s first plug-in hybrid model, has the potential to reach a wider audience thanks to its petrol and diesel engine options.

2022 Mazda CX-60 will be the most powerful model of the brand

Mazda, which has been able to come forward with the development on the technical side, has also managed to attract our attention in this aspect in the CX-60. The brand, whose first engine developed in the six-cylinder internal architecture is installed in this model, is preparing to bring the car to Europe with three different engine options. Continuing to use the SkyActiv-G engine technology on the hybrid side, we see that the engineers make electricity around the 2.5-liter unit.

In this version, which is born from the combination of a 17.8 kWh battery (which can be charged in 4 hours with an AC source) and an electric motor producing approximately 130 horses, 325 horse power and 500 Nm torque values will be displayed on the tarmac. Although this version looks like the most powerful model in Mazda’s product range, the top speed of 200 km/h, the value of 0-100 in 5.8 seconds and the support of the load traction of 2.5 tons attract attention on the technical table. While a pure electric driving range of 60 kilometers is possible in the hybrid version, which can be charged with a cable, the consumption value of the 1.5 liter CX-60 in WLTP standards is among the points that should be emphasized.

The second option on the CX-60’s engine side is a new 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine. As a third option, along with the 3.3 liter diesel engine, the 48V hybrid technology will be fitted as standard in both units to reduce fuel consumption. Let’s not forget that all models have an 8-step automatic transmission made with electric support. Cargo volume of 570 liters

With a length of 4,745 mm, width of 1,890 mm, height of 1,680 mm and a wheelbase of 2,870 mm, the CX-60 is placed above the CX-50 in terms of dimensions. While the car offers 570 liters of cargo volume with the seats folded, this figure can be increased to 1,726 liters. Among the common car accessories; rich features such as traffic sign recognition, cyclist and pedestrian detection, lane keeping assistant, driver fatigue detection, blind spot warning, adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, start assist hill, traffic turning warning and 360-degree visibility. The international price of the CX-60, which is scheduled to be released towards the next autumn, varies between 47 thousand and 53 thousand euros.
